Went to watch The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian with Jess and Choong Mun !!! The movie is just way nice men !!!!

Especially the effects, fighting scenes and touching stories in it....as for storyline....it's not that bad after all....

It's not as bad as some said....

"Narnia not nice la....so sien...."

Prince Caspian just rocks men !!! HAHA i guess girls out there will fall for him XD

Actually i was supposed to go to Sai Kit's hse today...but due to inconvenience in transport...i could not make it there....

As i was stoning at home in the morning...Wern Lin called me up and asked me whether i could join their game...i hesitated...yet i tried my best to go...and managed to find myself a transport...a CAR !!!!

Drove there....(mum sat beside, car will be retrieved) and then reached in time...went in Taman Megah and then waited for them !!!

They arrived and we started playing...haha...had many laughters out of it...and then cedric arrives...as usual...the pro....

After many rounds of doubles...cedric finally asked me to play singles with him...it was a tight neck-to-neck match before i stumbled upon the first game...and the second match was close...if i win, i could drag it into a rubber game ^^

The score was 13-21, 19-21

A satisfaction in myself for giving him a good fight in the second game...but there are things needed to be improved...

Speed was average, Strokes were okay...accept for the jump smashes where i lose timing a lot...and to take deceptive shots...

He was very deceptive, but some i managed to identify the shot he was going to make...he was not as consistent as before...so he made many mistakes too....

Haha...i got stalked...LOL...and after i finished my lunch...it was raining heavily...so Su Qi, chee ken and Jia Hwa went back to Taman Megah to join other ppl play...and i met Chin Lee and many ppl i knew there....

Meanwhile, Chong Mun and I went to CC and played...and then i went home..

Downhill?

Today was considered my another "worst" performance in badminton again....


I dunno what happened to me...and it's just tough...i could not play well...moved slow and not sharp...smashes were horrible...due to lack of time...i even wrapped my grip horribly... )=


I felt disappointed of myself...eventhough i won the match...but i won it with a bad performance...what's the point of winning when u did not perform at your best and played without form....??


The opponent today is Ong Teck Lee...current head-to-head record is 0 - 2 (Zhi wei leads)


The score was : 21-10, 21-10


Eventhough i won...yet...i dun feel the satisfaction...perhaps i should not have taken McD meal 2 hours ago before the match...T_T


I felt like crying...and feel like beating myself up...that kind of feeling...but i remember what Wern Lin had taught me...


"What's the point blaming urself? U won't improve ur mistakes at all !"


These words came out in my thoughts....and now...i will have to rectify my mistakes !!!


Towards uphill, instead of Downhill...which is what i gotta do now...in order to prevent myself to sink into the Pool of Failures...

Woke up at 10am in the morning...get myself washed up....played with CM's hamster...and then CM woke up and we went for breakfast !!!


After that....we came back and then i packed up my stuff and went to OU...walked around...helped my mum buy some photo albums...and then left OU and went to SS2...


At SS2, played dota until 5 something...raining heavily...decided to go home....


Reached home...unpacked everything and then what a day ~!


hehe...was tiring...

I cant think of a title....

Well...today is sunday again....as usual...had training early in the morning....


Today's training was intense !!! Had many physical exercise...just some shuttle drills...and i got screwed up...due to "something"....


After training, had lunch....then back at Taman Megah Badminton Hall !!! Bought shuttles and wrap the grip myself... ^^


Then went home....slept during noon....


Woke up...read newspaper...then Chong Mun came over and picked me up !!!


Went over to his hse and put down the stuff....den went out for dinner...at Khalifah Bistro !!!


Went to Jess's hse and picked her up...watched Movie at CM's hse....Ah Long ptd(something like that)


Then sent Jess back...went to CC at ss2...da kei !!!


Now back at home...blogging...1:34am...haha !!!

It was almost as bad as the match i played on 1st of May....just that today i can play slightly better...i meant SLIGHTLY.....


I found out something....he found my weakness and kept hitting the spot...was trying to cover it...but was slow....couldn't recover on time....


Overall, he's all rounded....good smashes and drives...especially intercepting the net when i serve....(a skill must learn)


In today's match....what is better than the previous:

- Smashes(more aggresive in game)
- Could move better(but still stoning sometimes...not aware until after match)
- Not so many mistakes like last time


Yet...i just cant find his weakness....eventhough i tried to play agression....


it's not that im off form or wat...it's just like im holding back or having grudges against him...hmm.....


Drove to Taman Megah and drove back home....cool men !!!!

Match was pretty fine but we lost eventually....as fei siang got knee injury, and i was tired out as a result of covering for 2 matches....


After that, met some Djians....play pretty good...not bad !!!

Mid Term Exam : 1 more day

Today went to college....asked lecturer some stuff...but reached early....since there's nothing to do...hua jen and me went to AC and minum....


Discussed physics....bla bla bla....after 1 hour 30 mins, which is around 9am, we went up to Asiapool and play some relaxing pool to DE-STRESS !!!!


Played very relax and had some laughter with him....etc...


After that, about 10am, went down and have some food....CHAR KEUY TEOW !!!!!


Then went to The Web...the usual me...watch youtube...LOL


Then it was 11:30...jen went for his IT paper...meanwhile i went to the library and stone with my physics mid term 2005 paper...


Many problems....haywire !!!


12:30pm...Mr john is finally available...went and bug him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was a horrible day for me....

Ok....i know i failed for this....and i'm not proud of it....neither nor....haihz...just feel like crying after the test, but i hold my tears....

ESL was not that bad after all....but the question was crazy men...child soldiers....warfare...etc....crazy men !!! Confusing too ~~~


Went to check my teeth at the dentist just now...scailing.....omg...darn darn pain....blood all over the mouth...(couldn't imagine....)

MID TERM EXAMS : Day 1

It was pretty scary today as i was late for test today....Jess and I walked as fast as possible to the examination hall....


Her dad picked us up late...that's why....


Do spec maths paper...go in, mind set blank....crap...DEAD.....stoned...(almost) but managed to do some....


During break time, did not even see MATHS reference, just went see friends play pool...LOL and then went back to MPH to wait....


Test started...see those question style familiar, clinched fist...started doing the moment they announced start....


Finished 7/9 questions.....other 2 did not managed to have time cuz stoned too long for question 6 and 7....swt...

Mid Term !!!!

Ok...here are some stuff not related to mid term 1st...


As u all know, China won the Thomas Cup, beating Korea 3-1 in the finals....


And today i drove out to town the first time...gosh...it was great !!! haha !!!


Now we are into the main topic....


Mid Term is here finally...tomorrow...and all the SAM students are gonna suffer....(which includes me)

Tues - Specialist Maths, Maths Studies
Wed - ESL, Chemistry
Thus - Accounting Studies, Economics (I'm not taking this)
Friday - Physics, Biology (S10 don't need to take Biology)


Very into Maths studies and Specialist Maths....lets hope i wont fail this time =)


STRESS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Training

Hmm...training was ok today...except the beginning part...help coach buy breakfast XD


Went to help coach buy breakfast...and it was raining heavily in the morning....ran around...after buying...did footwork...3 sets


Went do shuttle drill...net kill...improving it....steeper =D


Then 3 person got to do extra shuttle drills...they are Jeremy, Red Shirt guy and I....we did overhead smashes...


Increasing attacking play....smashes are slightly faster....a slight improvement...and overhead jump smash....doing it more frequently...should be a good sign =D


After that...game time...did many leaping overhead smashes...and speed game...was successful this time ^^


Forehand smash...still got a lot more to work on....


And jumping forehand smash....have to work more !!!!


Well...now preparing for the match between Teck Lee and me...and other more matches coming up during Mid Term Break

Thomas and Uber Cup Semi Finals

Here are the results for Thomas and Uber Cup 2008 semi finals !!!!


First, the Uber Cup....China beat Korean with their powerhouse Xie Xing Fang, Lu Lan and Wei Yili/Zhang Ya Wen 3-1 to set a final showdown with Indonesia....


Meanwhile, Indonesia beat Germany 3-1...the points were contributed by Adriyanti Firdasari, Jo Novita/Gresyia Polii and Pia Zebadiah....


For Thomas Cup....


Malaysia almost had a chance to turn over China, but their hopes went up to smoke when Wong Choong Hann, Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong and Hafiz Hashim lost to the Chinese players....


The score was 2-3...where the 2 points came from Lee Chong Wei and Mohd Zakry Latif/Fairuzizuan Tazari


Another upset by the Koreans....they upseted host Indonesia....by beating indonesia 3-0...points were won by Park Sung Hwan, Jung/Lee and Lee Hyun Il


It will be a final showdown between China and Korea in the Thomas Cup Finals in Indonesia ^^

Well...that's all folks....guess this is my best achievements in pool so far...

I found out what i lost....

I finally found out what i lost...


Through my recent games against Justin, Ho and Jeremy today....i finally found out what i lost...my anticipation skills of reading people's movements and technique.....


Normally when i play at my best form, i can play read my opponents movement and what my opponent is gonna do the next move....


For example....i do a dropshot...my opponent will go for the shot...i will see my opponents movement, whether is he going to lift the shot, or drop it at the net...if he lifts, i will go for attacking shots...if he drops, either i will lift or i will kill at the net, or even push...


There are many varieties of shots that i can make as long as i can read my opponents movement, the anticipation skill....


But so far, throughout so many games, i couldn't find it...


So far, i was able to find back:
- My smashes
- Speed(still lack of it slightly)
- Footwork


Now, what i need to find back most is my anticipation skill.....i could not anticipat my opponent's movement anymore...so for now...i will train hard to look for it again...


By the way, to all my beloved bloggers who plays badminton....here's an announcement:

There's a tournament coming up in July(most probably the second week) and the name of the tournament is DJROA....for those who are interested, u can ask me more information bt it...the community is going to organize it soon...

Finally, im back in style...sorry for the late updates ppl...bz with projects recently...here are what happened from Monday till today...


Monday:(5th May 2008)
-ESL assignment.....was rushing to print...dateline due on tuesday, 6th May 2008. Printer at home died =X crap.....called up cousin, used the finest plan, which is get a new printer !! WEnt to Digital Mall, bought new printer, at the same time a new laptop !! Finally, i own a laptop myself !! Yippeee !!!! No need to share with my sis anymore XP....things got printed out...awesome...



Tuesday:(6th May 2008)
ESL due date !! Cover page mistake !!! Ran to The Web to edit the cover page, and then finally was able to hand up on time !! Helped Chia Sern did his ESL assignment too !!! That guy...haha...see him rushing up and down...lol !!! Helped him punched holes for his sources, thanks to IK copy centre, i guess most of the ppl in our class came over and used ur puncher XD
Phew....finally everything's over !!! But yet, Physics assignment to come...DRAFT needed to be handed in on Wednesday(7th May 2008)....
Bad thing of the day: Missed the Intercollege Badminton Selection....=(



Wednesday:(7th May 2008)
Physics Draft due date...managed to finish the draft, and also the whole report...COMPLETED !!! Mr John checked my draft....he said it was good, but yet...lack of the physics of moving coil(what i learned in class syllabus, needed to apply inside) and some edits needed to be done...was satisfactory....got 3/3 for draft !! Yeah !!! and so....done !!!! Class planning to have class party on Friday...



Match between Justin, Ho and me will be changed to this Friday...results will be posted here!!!

Progress

I've been experiencing downhill performance recently...how can i find back my top form again?? Is there a way to find my top form again??


Ho was teasing me unable to do slices and chops...but is that a problem?? Is he trying to tell me that a player without chops and slices will lose?? And a player without backhand clear will lose too??


But of cuz, his teasing gave me some urgency to learn those skills....


During training today....coach asked me to do shuttle drills...the 1st set was bad...could not estimate the position properly...guess yesterday night wasn't a good night...but the other sets aren't bad...


I remembered his words...


"Follow the flow, eventually power will come to u..."


Then we needed to do another thing...which is defense...now i know my defence...it's pretty weak...need to work more on that...another is my lift...he said there's problem...lift should not involve arm...the wrist is the most important in lifting...if u use ur arm, u will delay time and causes mistake...


The first few sets was bad...got scolded...then when he was asking the other students to keep the shuttles back into the box, i asked my coach to give me another 30 shuttles....


When i kept doing, meanwhile getting nagged(that's for sure...), i got the point of wrist lifting...its really more effective and i did not know my wrist can flick it well...hmm...must work more on that...the feel...must get used to it...


For now...i'm working hard to get back my form...i shall never let Ho look down at me anymore...i want to prove him wrong...i want to prove to him that i can win him eventhough i don't know how to slice, chop, or backhand clear...


The days left before the match with Ho: 20+ more days....(date not fixed)


Well....Ho...i will show u the Power of Zhi Wei !!!!!!!

- Bad month...

- 1st day of May: Bad form of badminton...lost teruk teruk...
- Chia sern was too much in joking...Ms Ng scolded me like DAMN hell...

Labour's Day 2nd post !!!

Eventhough i was bad in badminton...somehow we went out for dinner...family dinner at Bar.B.Q Plaza in OU...sis brought us there !!!!

Disappointment of ownself...

I guess this is the time i'm experiencing downhill performance...


Today morning, me and 3 other guys went to Taman Megah to have some game(Badminton)...and as usual...i'm one hour earlier again...waiting for the others....


But before that, i got screwed by my coach...saying that i did not want to go training, instead go and ajak people play game...


Finally, around 10:50, they arrived...and we started off with some strokes and warm ups..


Then doubles...and it was kinda WEIRD...somehow...having those feelings...


Then after many matches of doubles, we had stroke session again...and then Philip finally agreed to play with me singles...


I was very confident at first...but then i dunno why...all a sudden...he was trailing at 17-11....and i'm so far away...


I tried to catch up...and was able to take the lead to 19-17...and then i made mistakes...and we made it to 20-20....DEUCE...i did not expect a deuce to happen...but it happened anyway...


And then i managed to get the 1 point i reached the game point...but then Philip fought back and earned another 1 point...which makes it 21-21...


Then...he managed to win the first game by 23-21...


It was the 2nd game...i did not want to give up easily...and i played with him...


He started off easily and had a comfortable headstart...leading 10-4...i could not do anything and my mind wondered off somewhere....i couldn't move fast at all...i was slow...i admit...


Then...i couldn't chase up anymore...and then...i lost at last...with the score 10-21...


Final score of the game: 21-23, 10-21


Now...i feel very disappointing of my ownself...how can i lose out so many points?? What happened to my agressive gameplay?? WHere are all my attacks?? I'm lacking of attacks now...only 3 smashes throughout the whole game?? My game was very lembik, and i could not move swiftly like i usually do...


But my opponent, Philip played really well...his smashes were steep...straight at half court...so he managed to do much of those...and most of them are on the line...eventhough i knew it was on the line...yet many of the points i could not manage to save it....this is real bad....


He played many drives and most of them caught me too...and i can just say...


I fell into his Control in the whole match....

And so....disappointed of myself...many mistakes too....


Drives...suppose to use them but in the end, opponent used it instead....


Smashes...i'm lacking of those...opponent does it all...


Control game...horrible...i felt like that was not me playing just now...


I just feel disappointed of my ownself...playing so badly....and it's not once, but quite some time already...i guess i'm experiencing downhill performance....
