Luckily i was able to find it...phew...a sigh of relief....anyways...back to serious matter...

I still stoning...thinking how to improve my badminton....

Perhaps stoning isn't a good way to improve either strokes/skills or fitness....LOL

*My current self*

WHat am i experiencing now??? Bad flu...

Currently...i just feel like...there's nothing special in me yet...

Every badminton player has something special in them...like Lin Dan is famous for his smash, Chen Jin for his offensive attacking play, Bao Chun Lai for his control....etc...

As for me...still Empty on the list....

What am i good in??? SO far on the list...here are some strokes and shots...

Smashes: Bad...no power...Jumping is making it worse!!!

Dropshots: Just average...

Net shots: Ok only....got scolded by coach cuz i love "Tarik-ing"

Slices/ Chops: I dun even know a single on this...

Footwork: moderate...cannot considered as fast...

Backhand: Backhand drop ok...backhand clear is horrible...

Drives: Hardly use...trying to improvise on that...

Currently, these are my "statistics"....what should i focus on?? And which should i put more effort on??

My coach is now teaching me how to control the shuttle...

Training and Analyzing own problem !!

Today's training was as usual...here are the things i did...

Other students jog 15 rounds, i jog 20....(coach's order)

Then i did 4 on 1....(which is i'm the one)...the other 4 was allowed to smash, meanwhile i only can drop and clear....haha...was fun after all....

And then....the other coach asked us to do some extra jogs under the Blazing Hot Sun for 5 rounds and then sprinting with the given time....

I failed sprinting part...and then i gotta re-run again for 3 times...and finally...i managed to break the time given...38 secs (given time: 40 secs)

Sparred with another of my training mate...lost in half court singles 11 points....the score was 10-12...

Meanwhile other rest and warm down to go home, my coach gave me extra training...10 shuttles, but i forgot i did how many rows....(don't look down at the 10...u gotta do many things with 10 shuttles)

What he asked me to do was control the shuttle...such as drop drop and when he put at the net...u drop back over the net...and finally he lift u smash !!!! The first few sets i did very badly...and i got scolded from him....

"U told me people very good and u asked for extra training, yet u did so badly...if u dun wanna do properly, don't waste my time..."

I stood up and continued....was actually tiring when u gotta control the shuttle and make sure it passes the net all the time...i did with my best and managed to do well...at least he was not as furious as previously...

When done, he asked me..."Tired or not? 1 more set?"

I told him..."Yeah...bring it on!!!"

And i did more...in order to control the shuttle well...which willl help me in controlling my opponent in game...i gotta train hard in controlling before able to learn all the offensive shots...

He told me this...

"U so fast tired like this, how are u gonna endure?? "

After training, my coach asked him teman him go eat breakfast...and guess where we went??

Secret Recipe...LOL

He ordered food to eat and i ordered ice lemon tea...sat down and chat...and i asked him many questions...and at the same time he analyzed my problems...

This is what he stated:
- Ur foundation is weak...u can never play a good badminton without a good foundation!

- Work hard on controlling the shuttle...see other professional players...they control their shuttle so beautifully...and then u can control ur opponent in the game...

- Han Jian started training at 16...yet he managed to become a national player...nothing is impossible !!! U gotta endure and go through it !!!

- Rally, Control and Offensive styles are all different things...

- How they do folding jump smashes??They do it when the shuttle is at the top before falling down (Physics: projectile motion) u jump and then smash when the shuttle starts to fall(which is ur still in the air, that is known as jump smash)
>>>>>Currently, my jump smash is like after i jump and land only i smash...(better don't jump...)

After that, i went back to the training centre...meanwhile walking...he told me this...

"Do u know that i can turn a player without talent into a player with talent??"

"Do u know i can train players without talent to beat born-talented players??"

Perhaps this is his thoughts...but i'm happy to get such a good coach....unlike some coaches which cheat ur money and teaching u the wrong things....

And finally...this is what i should do...

>>> Improve my controlling ability....and then at the same time...my smashes...and then only combine both together....

Well....that's all folks !!!

First thing...i failed my physics...got 6/50...hohoho....

Chemistry CT2 : 23/50 (what does this consider as???)

Spec Maths CT2: 14/100 (Lowest in class....)

Sometimes i wonder, perhaps i'm not that kind of good in studies, and maybe i should put more time on my sports as it could be better....i still don't know whether is there chance to cope with the subjects...feeling like dropping SAM....

Went for badminton session at Taylors....was pretty good...nvr knew taylors college had so many pros...but the problem is there's no tournament...so that makes the club pretty dull and boring....

WEll...that's all folks...now trying to improve my playing style and strokes....still feel that there's somethin wrong with my smashes...gotta put more effort on it !!!!

Today...after doing everything in the Library, i went to the Badminton Club under Taylors College....

It was located above Tai Thong, and Neway....was a nice hall...

Meet new players, new friends, new people...was just a good badminton game !!!

Played doubles the whole session...fun somehow....

Partnered a new guy i met....his name is Nick...haha and fortunately i dunno how to say...we won the opponents(played 15 point scoring system) and won 15-5, 15-10...oh yeah...feel great !!!!

After that, i was called by another pair to play with....got beaten in straight games(21 points scoring system) and we lost to them 14-21, 15-21...they were good...why???

Setia players ma...definitely good...the speed they move on court and the power of their smashes...their deception and their net kill...is so fast...perhaps 5 times faster than me??? LOL

WEll...thats all for the day for Badminton CLub !!!

Some pics for beloved readers:

Arrival of CT 2

Ct 2 was indeed a scary thing...to all SAM-ers....

Today was spec maths test...and guess what?? I flunk it again...oh yeah...crap isnt it?

Currently, im thinking about badminton again...figuring...how to improve my attacking play...and i thought of a way to improvise it...

I need to be mentally awake to remember to bounce during the game...in order to keep up the pace and so i can do more attacks....normally i rally more than i attack...

When i rally, the opponent has more chance in piercing through my defence, which according to my coach, he says my defense is weak...

Perhaps due to my weak defense, i should increase my attacking play to "kill" my opponent before he does....

Guess this is the way to do so....

Another thing that kept me thinking off the whole day is Jumping Smash !!!

I kept trying to jump and smash wherever i play, but the power of jumping smash compared to normal smash is way different...it's weaker...lol...(i thought it was supposed to be stronger)

Currently, i'm still practicing my ground smash in order to perfect it and go on to the next stage.....

Perhaps speed blends with power to put up and set up a good attacking game...is this the way??

I wonder again....

*^o^*

Spec Maths Common Test 2 is tomorrow !!

Oh yea...darn scared...lol...why??? Did not do homework den dunno how to do...

Chemistry Practical Questions being asked tomorrow...directly after Spec Maths CT2...

ESL work not done...gonna do it tomorrow...

Did some small training on my own...workouts, squash racket for racket weight training and rope skipping, some small shadows....

Will do it more often when there is time...currently trying to get back myself into good shape for any future tournaments....

Still wondering how to smash properly?? Hope an idea or an imagination will show me how...

Bad form...

This morning...woke up...parents and sister not home...no car...cant drive...dad sms-ed uncle to fetch me next morning...but uncle did not see the sms..

Supposed to fetch me at 8:30...ended up waitin till 8:50...called taxi !! After many attempts...finally got 1...coincidently, uncle called up...say he was on the way...

Cancelled the taxi...uncle picked me up...went for training...reached training 9:30am....darn...was slight late...

Did fast warm up...some footwork shadow...and then was game time the whole day...played singles...lost 1st game, won 2nd game...3rd game opponent no energy to play anymore...

I wasn't playing that well...many mistakes...such as not smashing properly, poor speed and strokes in the first game....second game only got slight improvement on stroke and speed...other than that, smashing is still bad...

Doubles was ok...but did not do well either...a bit slacked off...

Still not used to the new rackets...smashing no power...

Still wondering why i couldnt do a good smash...why? WOnder....

Dreams

Recently got tied up with Assignments and homeworks....

Common test 2 is coming up...will i be able to make it?? It would be harder than the 1st for sure....

Will i be able to make my dreams come true??

Is there enough time left for me to pursue and make it happen??

Will i be able to be what i want to be one day??

Will i succeed??

The biggest dream in my life....is being a national player, just like Chong Wei....will that come true?

With the hectic schedule of college life filled with homework and assignments...i hardly can find time for it....
